Overall the show was okay. I loved the dance pieces and the pieces that had acrobats/martial art gestures, but I found the Soprano singing pieces very annoying. I did not mind the first singing piece, but the remaining three pieces, I felt as if it was a waste of time. I think the show without the singing pieces can be better. Instead, even a musical instruments piece shall be better as listening to a live Chinese orchestra is not often heard. The music was wonderful and I would have preferred more of that rather than the Soprano singers. What disappointed me was that no advertisements had any inclination about these singing pieces and yet the show had 4 singing pieces. As is, I will not recommend the show to anyone and definitely not worth the $95 I paid for.

Absolutely beautiful. Truly revives the true spirit of the Heavenly Kingdom. I can't wait for the coming show in April. This time I am bringing my family to enjoy the show.

My boyfriend flew in from New york and treated his grandmother, uncle, cousin and myself to this show. The costumes were amazing and the dancing was beautiful. I enjoyed myself.

The show was exactly what I hoped it would be.Dazzling! The opening drum scene was amazing.

I loved it. I felt the spirit and felt the culture of the ancients. I will go each time you come perform here. Each of you (dancers)gave off the radiance that your ancestors would be PROUD of.

Dear Eric Von Steiner, even though I am not involved in this Shen Yun show, I think i can tell you that the great erhu soloist Qi XiaoChun is touring Asia this year since she is grouped with Shen Yun's New York company. So you will get a chance to see her next year when the new York company tours Detroit area. .

Went to performance at Detroit Opera House on Fri. Jan 27,2012. It was great. Only disapointment was that the great Erhu solist Qi XiaoChun was not on the program. The pamphlet that advertised the show featured her. Will those of us in the Detroit area ever get to see her perform here? We are old and our only wish is to be able to see her before we die.
